COACH with
Step Up Kids Run Club

Being a coach or assistant coach with our run club is an incredible way to make a difference in the community and grow as an individual.

Our lead coaches teach the kids our empowerment principles and running skills while creating a fun, encouraging environment. They take the lead on ensuring their clubs are running smoothly.

Our assistant coaches take on a more supportive role instead of up front teaching. They make sure kids are staying involved, help run drills and are there to handle side issues so the lead coach can stay on task (i.e. bathroom breaks, bandage knees, etc.). This role is also a great way to prepare for becoming a lead coach in future sessions or other locations.

Lead Coach (LC) and Assistant Coach (AC) pay, benefits and requirements

Starting Pay: (LC) $25 per class hour. (AC) $15 per class hour. All coaches are hired as contractors and are therefore responsible for their own taxes (1099 provided).

(Both) Freedom to decide which sessions you want to coach or help Step Up Kids Run Club create a session that works for you (dependent on enrollment minimum of 10 kids).

(Both) Covered at NO COST under Step Up Kids Run Club's liability insurance.

(Both) Must provide a background check before being hired. Cost of background check refunded after one full session coaching.

(LC) One of your children can participate for free in run clubs while you are an active lead coach.

(AC) One of your children can participate in run clubs at a 50% discount while you are an active assistant coach.

STEP UP KIDS RUN CLUB, LLC is a kids running club serving the Greater Kalamazoo Area.  Our mission is to help kids learn empowerment skills and experience their own growth so they are equipped to STEP UP to the challenges of life with confidence. We do this by pairing our eight core principles and running drills in a fun, friendly, and energetic atmosphere.
